Nga Ku.....

My favourite CNY food was nga ku chip....Something that will make u addict with,
when u have your 1st bite on it.
Nga ku is crispy like a water chestnut, but starchier, like a slightly sweet potato (thus its North American moniker - and the title of this post - duck potato).Nga ku also make a fine chip. Right now shops and markets around Kuala Lumpur are bursting with red-capped, clear plastic containers of nga ku chips. But beware - all arrowhead chips are not created equal. In general we prefer our chips thick and hefty, but what works for potatoes does not seem to do well by nga ku. Thicker slices of nga ku absorb oil, making for a still delicious, if rather more cholesterol-laden treat. If you're nga ku chip shopping look for thin-sliced chips that border on the translucent.

Ooh, Nga Ku is in Cantonese, in Mandarin it is call Ya Ku and its scientific name is Sagittaria trifolia L. and some call it Duck Potato Chinese buy it during festive season because it symbolizes prosperity. We actually can buy ready made Nga Ku crispy cracker in the market too.

Singapore Flyer....or....

I took this pic when i visited Singapore recently,i was standing at the Merlion Park while taking this pic.i don't exactly know where it located...
Using my Nikon compact camera,i only manage to get this pic.
The Singapore Flyer is a giant observation wheel in Singapore. Reaching 42 stories high, it comprises a 150-metre (in diameter) high wheel built over a three-story terminal building, giving it a total height of 165 metres. This will exceed The Star of Nanchang (currently the tallest) by 5 metres and the London Eye (currently the largest) by 30 metres. It will feature 28 air-conditioned capsules capable of holding 28 passengers each. A complete rotation of the wheel will take an estimated 30 minutes. As at 2 October 2007, the last capsule of the Singapore Flyer had been installed.
Located on the southeast tip of the Marina Centre reclaimed land, it is expected to offer excellent views of the city centre and beyond to about 45 kilometres, including the Indonesian islands of Batam and Bintan, as well as Johor, Malaysia.

Are you under the sign of GOAT??

The Chinese believe in feng shui and forecast, when new year is around the corner,

Chinese will buy feng shui or annual forecast book or ask some master for their coming year forecast.

The Goat.....

The Chinese Zodiac Astrology is ancient, interesting, accurate and loved by millions across the world. The Chinese Zodiac is based on cyclic concept of time : a cycle of 12 years, repeated again and again. The 12 Years are associated with 12 Celestial Animals : Rat (or Mouse on Mongoose), Ox (or Buffalo or Bull or Cow), Tiger, Rabbit (or Hare or Cat), Dragon, Snake (or Serpent), Horse, Goat (or Sheep or Ram), Monkey, Rooster (or Hen or Cock or Chicken or Phoenix), Dog and Pig (or Boar or Hog). The animal names occasionally differ with the Oriental Country they originate. The Chinese Yearly Horoscopes are basically built around these 12 Animal Signs.
Your Chinese Astrological Zodiac Animal Sign is directly based on the Chinese Lunar Year of Birth that you were born. The Chinese New Year is mobile and could start anywhere between 21st January and 20th February, depending upon the year. If your Date of Birth falls into any of the following Chinese Lunar Years, then, because you are born in the Year of the Goat (or Sheep or Ram), you are symbolically identified by your Celestial Animal, the "Goat (or Sheep or Ram)" :
From 13 Feb 1907 to 01 Feb 1908
From 01 Feb 1919 to 19 Feb 1920
From 17 Feb 1931 to 05 Feb 1932
From 05 Feb 1943 to 24 Jan 1944
From 24 Jan 1955 to 11 Feb 1956
From 09 Feb 1967 to 29 Jan 1968
From 28 Jan 1979 to 15 Feb 1980
From 15 Feb 1991 to 03 Feb 1992
From 01 Feb 2003 to 21 Jan 2004
In Chinese Hsia Calender, 2008 is the 4705th year and significantly, is also the fifth year of the New Feng Shui Land Luck Cyclic Period 8. The forthcoming new Chinese Lunar Year is from 7th February 2008 to 25th February 2009. The next Chinese New Year, Ji Chow, the Yin Brown Earth Ox will begin on 26th January 2009.

Teh Tarik

Teh tarik ("pulled tea") is a type of tea which can be bought in restaurants and outdoor stalls in Malaysia.
The main ingredients are tea and condensed milk.It has become the de facto national drink of Malaysia. In Malaysia, there are also occasions where "teh tarik" brewers gather for competitions and performances to show their skills in making this drink.

This tea is special in that it is prepared using a unique technique. The tea is poured from a hand held high into a container held in a hand below. The tea is poured back and forth in this manner to create a thick froth. It is believed that this method mixes the tea with the condensed milk more thoroughly than other methods. It is also believed that this action cools down the tea to an optimum temperature for consumption.

p/s:is actually one of my favourite drink...

Never Apart · Michael Wong Live In Genting 2008

Mention about Guang Liang concert, everyone with no doubt
will think that other then me,there will be no one
'allow' to cover this concert.
Perhaps many people think that going to his concert is kind of boring, because most of his song are love songs.
But it was actually a simple concert assignment for me,

When i run thru the concert run down,i was kind of disappointed when 2 of my favourite song is not in it....
Well,he didn't disappoint me when the crowd continuously crying out for encore and his name,
at the end of the concert. All the fans were crowding up in front of the stage,he decided
to sing a few more songs, with his piano, which is included the 2 song i wish to listen.

If only i have....

Though i personally won't recommend my friend to buy a sony camera,
but after i went to a launching of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T2.
i fall in love with it 4GB of internal memory and
can store up to 40,000VGA-quality photos or
1,000 8-megapixel pictures,eliminating the need to
manage multiple media cards.

What actually excited me was, when you go for a holiday and

you forget your memory card, you don't have to worry because its

internal memory is can 'save' you.
